Yeah, a huge number of public intellectuals in the 1920s and 1930s were cheerful eugenicists. We still learn about most of them. Winston Churchill, Teddy Roosevelt, John Maynard Keynes even after the Nazis' crimes came to light.

Keller's life is simplified to "crip-spiration" but that's pretty common for famous disabled people. And unlike a lot of eugenicists, she wasn't a racist.
