AAAAA yes this bothers me so much

I didn't have enough space to go into all the writing and mechanical issues I had with the companions and how they were written, but they should NOT be responding the same way to like, an older person who is just relaxed and giving good advice, versus a HOT YOUNG flirty friendly peer, even if those two people have done the exact same things. I guess it's one of those issues that is only really apparent if you try to play anyone at all outside a 'generic hero that of course everyone would immediately find sexually attractive' but that is... not what I play RPGs for.
