Clockwise starting from left: Keira Knightley as outraged Elizabeth Bennet from P&P 2005, Caroline Bingley and Louisa Hurst from P&P 1995, Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her daughter Anne from P&P 1995 and the caption: "I am most seriously displeased. Drive on!"

While I delight in all the sass and fury about the new Wuthering Heights adaptation, I'm also enjoying the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Not because the recent teaser trailer looks good because it doesn't.

But because this might finally unite the Pride and Prejudice 1995 and the Pride and Prejudice 2005 fans against a common enemy!

Never thought I'd hate side by side with a 2005 fan.

The 2005 movie is one of my all-time favorite movies, but even though I doubt I'll love the new one, I also doubt I'll be too bothered by it. I think I'm just not much of a purist when it comes to Austen.

I've read all Austen's books, enjoyed them all, and I respect the hell out of her as an author. But when it comes to adaptations, I'm not overly purist. Plus, already having one adaptation of P&P I absolutely love definitely helps me be chill about any future versions. One might say that I am quite at leisure about the whole thing.

You know what, yes.
