True, but nothing is going to beat people playing "Good Luck, Babe!" as the going away song at het weddings.

I've heard of people playing "One" by U2 at weddings. That song's about an AIDS patient!

There are so many songs that are totally inappropriate for a happy wedding song, that people use anyway. It kills me. A lot of them are also pretty blatantly obvious if you listen to the lyrics even just once. I guess on that one they just hear that it's upbeat and "You'd have to stop the world just to stop the feeling" and don't think about it beyond that, but..... uh......... that's, uh, that's really something.

I have heard a story of a couple playing Pearl Jam's "Betterman" as their wedding song, and the only way that makes sense to me is if it's the song that broke the ice for them ("Oh, you like Pearl Jam too?!").
