AYRT how do you join it? Knots are frowned upon, and different fibers have to be treated differently. If it’s wool, I can spit-splice it. If it’s acrylic, I have to do a Russian join or something else, like a braided join, if it has plies. If not, I need to pull out my Google-fu and figure out a join I can use. If it’s bulky or super bulky, I may just have to cross the new tails and weave them in because I can’t join them without making a huge lump.
It’s a PITA sometimes to join a new skein. Blankets, especially, are tough because you really want them to feel and look nice on both sides.
