Then... look for magical girls somewhere else?

If a medium doesn't have a trope being used the way you want it used, that's not an attack on the trope. That just means that medium is used by a certain segment of the population who apparently tend towards using the trope that way. A lack of independent web novels playing the magical girl trope straight doesn't mean that anyone is saying "there shouldn't be stories like that anymore."

As a matter of fact, you are literally the only person here who seem to be telling anyone what they should and shouldn't write.
