I hate how after the first season of 911, Buck's storylines have since always involved learning about himself or learning to love himself. He's still arrogant, still thinks he knows better than everyone, but the show never has him face consequences. Everyone else has had consequences, has learned and grown. Except him. Because I guess he's just awesome and doesn't need to change.

As someone who likes but doesn't woobify Buck, I'm confused at this take. Outside of the lawsuit (which he apologized for), I don't know what else he needs to 'face consequences' for. Buck hasn't had a real plot that doesn't revolve around relationships since the whole sperm donor arc in s6 and the show is at fault for not following through with any real realizations or fallout. At least in s9, I feel like he's actually accepted who he is and what he actually wants in a way that I feel will stick. (Though unsure how they'll treat his trauma post kidnapping)

DA

They say you can't apologize your way out of bad behavior unless it's TV. :D

He basically gets fired a bunch of times for bad behavior and quits as well but is allowed to return like a golden child. He goes daredevil all the time because he thinks he's the only one who can do things. Going back to active duty despite being on blood thinners is so stupid but Bobby lets him because Buck Reasons.

Buck? I think you misspelled "Hen."

Hen has had consequences. Repeatedly.

Oh, really? Like when she deliberately lied to her friends and coworkers and captain and wife about a mysterious debilitating illness that put herself, all of them, and the people they are supposed to be saving in emergency situations at risk, got rightfully fired for it, then blamed and guilted them all over it, and now long story short is back at work like nothing happened? Those kind of consequences? Just for one example.

Most of the main characters are arrogant in their own ways, most of them have taken stupid risks, and most of them have done some pretty bad stuff with no real consequences.
Assault, reckless driving, invasion of privacy, stalking, disregarding orders and safety regulations, emotional manipulation, and on and on.
