I agree, but I never admit it publicly 🫣 It's not that he did a bad job, I simply think he was too old. And that's not a slam on him. It happens to all of us. But everyone loves him in that role so much and I'm just like, nah.

AYRT - I love Alan Rickman, but he would have been too old for that role if they'd filmed it in the 90s on the books' canon timeline. Also, honestly, he made Snape too likeable.
