Thanks, I think that last one is the closest to what I was imagining would fall in that space.

I guess what I’m trying to home in on is the various factors in portraying love through song: what would make a “character” (whether the singer or their partner) sound both clearly dominant and clearly loving.

Banging this out in like 5 minutes, but

'I love making your eyes light up'
'I love making you smile'
'I ask who brought this charmer here'
'and you laugh and say you're mine'

'You say you'll give me all of you'
'I say that I'll accept'
'You look at me like I'm your world'
'and I have no regrets'

'I love the way you lay in my arms and lay your heart bare'
'I love the way you trust me with your anxieties and fears'
'I love the way you look back at me to make sure I'm still there'
'You are precious treasure to me, beautiful and rare'

It's super easy and yet...

It does seem like there should be plenty. And yet…

I’m interested in why that might be.

I'm glad this is puzzling someone else besides me and other anon in the thread and it's not just us lol

This is a super interesting thread and topic. I have nothing to add really but I've enjoyed your kind of thinking out loud and puzzling through this with the anon, and I agree that in general it is a fun puzzle to ponder.
