Hey, Call the Midwife finally killed the old bat. After teasing it from literally the start of season one, episode one, they got to within fifteen minutes from the "roll credits" of the grand series finale before they did it. 14 years of "Is Sister Monica Joan gonna die tonight" before the answer was "yes".

I was right, it had lost all emotional impact to me.

I don't watch this show.

Serious question... what happens to her little dog? :(

It’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure that’s the dog Sister Monica Joan finds and decides to adopt a couple of seasons ago. Problem is, she’s not supposed to have a dog (either because she’s a nun and can’t have worldly possessions or because they can’t have dogs at Nonnatus House). Eventually the dog is found and Sister Monica Joan is told she can’t keep him, but they find the family that lost the dog and he’s reunited with his owners.

Was it at least somewhat surprising? Or was the fact it was the finale just obvious? Still, this and the secret beneath it gave me a good laugh! Thanks OP!
