Yeah, Harry Potter is a series where it's not at all difficult to see just how and why it was so huge. What kid WOULDN'T want to receive a letter telling them that they were going to become a wizard and learn magic? Pretty much every kid alive dreams of one day being told there's something special about them that will lead them to a life of adventure and excitement, and Harry Potter is the encapsulation of that fantasy.
