Has developed obnoxious opinions about pizza that they share without prompting. Obsessively watches at least one of the many, many shows set there. (Which one depends on their age and interests: Law and Order, Gossip Girl, Sex and the City, Seinfeld, etc.) Wears plenty of black, takes pride in walking fast and being generally unpleasant to strangers.

And I’ve met quite a few of them. It usually wears off after a year or two of actually living there.

Yep. IME, those kind of fans tend to be specifically fixated on New York City and don’t have positive feelings about the rest of the US.
