Oh, yeah, I forgot about this!

I knew some people who were like that about New England, especially the rural bits. Wore lots of flannel, drank everything out of mason jars, had passionate opinions on real maple syrup, and loudly scorned anyone who wasn’t used to “real winter”.

I mean, there are some genuine New Englanders like that too, but it’s especially pronounced in enthusiasts from other places.
