Northern Exposure! I rewatched a couple of years ago and even made a secret about it. It was pretty progressive for its time.

Ooooh. I haven't watched that since my teens, and I'm sure a lot went over my head. Should definitely rewatch.

That's a show that - especially for its time! - really did diversity well. Plunk the elite white guy in a small isolated town with characters that are primarily elderly and/or Alaska Natives and watch him flounder. Good stuff.
