I had a childhood friend who was like that! She did weird revisionist retellings where I didn't get why she had altered the details. Many of them were things that I did or experienced in which she took credit for. I'm too old to play oneupsmanship games with friends so that friendship in adulthood didn't last long. I didn't like being around someone who would make me feel like I had to dissect my memories because it sounded like her stories weren't matching up with my memories.
