Re: Why the drinking age in the US is 21

What I don't get about this is why the drinking age is 21 when the driving age is like 16 or even younger in some states. The drinking age and the driving age is 18 in my country and I don't think it makes sense to have them the same, but why not driving at 16 and drinking at 18, or vice versa?
