Might be this one for fandom stuff. I occasionally poke on LJ just for finding icons.

In general, though, probably New York Times and BBC. Try to keep generally up with news.

I have slowly been trying to degoogle myself. So far the only thing I have managed is to stop using the brower/search engine. No google dot com for me. But I still use gmail and maps and photos etc. It is a long term project.

De-googling us a hard process, I'm proud of you, nonny!

Do you know this website?

Maybe. How old is FS?

I regularly visit a site established in 2001 (which I know because they're celebrating their 25th this year). I think they've managed to last because (1) they focus on a niche skill, (2) 25 years of this has led to a huge internet presence, and (3) the overall user base just wants the info and discussion and isn't concerned about the outdated format.

The Replica Props Forum (the-rpf)

I think my account is 22 years old there. I have veteran flair.

OMG, hello fellow RPF user! I've been there since 2008...I think? I haven't used it in a bit, but I still go every once in a while when I'm starting a new big costume build.

Probably my mail site. I've had it since 1998.

Well, wikipedia started in 2001, youtube in founded in 2005, cnn.com in 1995, slate.com in 1996, dreamwidth 2009, tumblr 2007, reddit 2005, ao3 2008

I'm a little distressed I don't visit any new sites
