Vent thread

Honestly, last week there were a bunch of fucked up things in court too. I'm not feeling defeated or depressed so much as just freaking angry.

(Anonymous) 2026-03-30 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)Such a silly thing to be annoyed by yet here I am. And yes, we have had talks about this before. They never change.

(Anonymous) 2026-03-31 12:01 am (UTC)(link)It bugs me for two main reasons:
- One, it makes it hard to tell whether there's someone in there. I waited and waited for them to get finished before finally realizing it was actually empty.
- Two, it's clearly a bathroom with no outdoor window. So you need to leave the door open to let air circulate, both for damp and for smells. (There's also a built-in fan, but they clearly don't understand the concept, even after it was shown to them.)
I just don't get it. What is the reason to leave the bathroom like that? It takes a little extra effort to close the door after you, so it's not even just laziness or forgetfulness.

(Anonymous) 2026-03-31 12:11 am (UTC)(link)I think they leave the light on because it's in a half-basement level and so it does get rather dark in there. There's a sort of skylight for some sunshine and a nightlight for the night, but neither are very bright. I guess if the house is unfamiliar to you, it might be more reassuring to be able to see into the bathroom all the time.
I'm with you about knocking on doors, especially bathroom doors. I hate it when someone does that while I'm in there, it feels very intrusive and I suddenly feel rushed. So I also hate the idea that I'm inflicting that feeling on others.

(Anonymous) 2026-03-31 03:11 am (UTC)(link)I have a litter box in the toilet room. So. You know. My cats can fucking use it. And occasional guests keep shutting the door.

(Anonymous) 2026-03-31 03:36 am (UTC)(link)But frankly I am scared of looking for one. I've always been bad at job interview games, but right now jobs even less available.
