I disagree. She was a laid back working class woman who is just trying to get by. Nice but not a pushover.

It could be easy to make her too jaded or too sweet. It could be easy to make her too much of a blank slate. Jennifer Aniston made her a believable character instead. I knew a lot of women like her, I've been her.

I watched this movie before getting into Friends, and before watching the movie I didn't think much of Jennifer Aniston. After Office Space and getting into Friends, she's a good actor. She can do comedy and over the top well, but she can scale it back and do more real life. Even when she has her freak out in Office Space, it wasn't Rachel Green from Friends at her wits' end. She was Joanna at her wits' end.
