I've watched "9-1-1" since it started. I like it for the over the top emergencies and dumb soap opera plots.

I'm glad Abby was written off the show early. Not because I didn't like her character, but because I related to her too much, specifically her situation with her disabled mother.

Abby's story was eerily similar to mine, as I'm currently my Mother's primary caregiver.

I'm glad it wasn't dragged out for multiple seasons.
It was a relief when it was over.

I dunno, I think a lot of the callsigns in the original Top Gun are pretty spot on.
Viper is beady eyed guy with a sharp tongue.
Jester has no fucking sense of humor.
Goose is always honking on about something in the back.
Iceman completely melts every time he smiles.
Maverick is this goofball in over his head all the time, who seems to think he is a cool cowboy, just like the guy in the TV Show.

They all kinda fit.

A lot of people still don't understand how callsigns work, you don't get a "cool" one unless you did something real stupid to earn it. It is usually ironic or insulting. For Maverick to be called Maverick, he did something real dumb and got real lucky.

*Assuming money = 'net worth' not spending money, like a retiree with a pension who owns a house could technically be a millionaire on paper and not live anything like someone making a million a year

I'm no expert, but everything I've heard (from actual pilots) about how you get your call sign... it probably wasn't anything that benign. It's usually something that recalls something monumentally stupid or gross that you did, an insult about your appearance, or something like that.
