Not silly at all, IMHO. And I think you’re far from the only one. My mother teaches English to recent immigrant parents and one of them did a “book report” presentation on Finding Nemo. All of the other students were very enthusiastic about it and what it had to say about parenting.

(My mother was especially pleased that during the discussion they asked her “Can you say ‘too much careful’ in English?”)
