God tier:
Moonstruck
French Kiss
Pride and Prejudice (2005v)
A Room With a View
*although these are arguably outside the standard genre fare

Not God tier but have watched multiple times:
How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days
Dirty Dancing (because the music)
Much Ado About Nothing
Romeo + Juliet (Baz's)
Shakespeare In Love
The Notebook (because it's just hot hot hot)

no, it was just unreasonably pretty by virtue of the actors and the costuming.

And set and cinematography and music and the insanely good casting for Mercutio, the Nurse, and the Friar

Haha no, I guess my mind got on the Shakespeare train and went more romance than comedy.

Which is funny because talk about a het romance where they barely even know each other and everything goes wrong for the drama.

Looking at your list, I feel like the ones I have enjoyed in the past are not standard romcoms at all: Dirty Dancing is explicitly a summer fling sexual awakening, Shakespeare in Love ends with them permanently separated. Other ones I've liked are My Best Friend's Wedding (he is marrying someone else, she tries and fails to sabotage it) and 10 Things I Hate About You (Shakespeare again, they spend most of the movie with one of them trying to get together and the other one hating it then vice versa, they only sort it out right at the end).

AYRT yeah same. And I forgot about 10 Things! I've watched that one multiple times as well.

I liked How To Lose a Guy for the same reason as 10 Things. They became invested by intentionally trying to NOT be invested.
