I've been there.

I still go back and forth on admitting to having attraction toward men and wondering if it's more to do with compulsory heteronormativity, though.

For me, I had a lot to unpack, and I'm still unpacking. It's both media messes up our perception of romance/companionship as well as cultural norms trying to dictate how we should participate in society.
