You know even if I did like Castiel I would hate the character for the moronic pairing names he subjects fandom too, Dastiel and Sassy being the worst at the moment. We survived so long without them before. Why do we have to get them now, why? ugh.

Dastiel/Destiel is terrible and is a prime example of why portmanteaus suck.

SASSY, on the other hand, is the ultimate example of why portmanteaus rock (on occasion).

Sorry nor a fan of silly pairing names. We avoided them in fandom for four years but of cause Castiel and his fans would be the ones to start this annoyance.

Wincest?

Not saying mash up names are good, but that's quite the blind spot you have there.

Sorry I don't see wincest as the same thing. If fandom had used Sadean, Desam, Deaam(?) then the two would have been comparable.

& i think the name sassy is just for the lulz, but i don't ship it so i'm not sure.

Yeah, "Wincest" isn't a portmanteau AT ALL.

Oh, my butt feels fine, but thanks for your concern. I actually think the term "Destiel" sucks as well - but Sassy is wonderful and full of sparkling rainbow lulz.

It's a crack ship, it's allowed to have a silly name. I doubt anyone writing a very serious, angsty fic pairing Sam and Castiel would bill it as Sassy. Likewise, nearly nobody even uses Dastiel. Portmanteaus will always be created, but the ugliest don't properly catch on.

JUST SAY NO TO NAME-MASHING. A big "NUUUUUUUU."

Seriously, we never had "Sean" or "Dam", and life was lovely! I mean I do think "Sassy" is for the lulz, but Destiel/Dastiel makes me shudder and die and weep in the corner with the smallest spiders.
