I also find that bewildering--the same way it confuses me that conservatives can listen to RATM and think it is in any way speaking to their values. But I think this is in the same category as conservative staffers in DC complaining that liberals in the dating scene won't give them a chance. That seems like a self-explanatory incompatibility of views, but evidently not to the conservative mind.

Yeah, this always baffles me too. Like, liberal women find conservative politics offputting. No, they won't give you a chance. Have your politics but don't be surprised when people who disagree with you don't like it and view those politics as disqualifying in a life partner.

I also feel sorry for Bruce Springsteen having to constantly be like, "NO. You CANNOT use my music" to every Republican who tries to use his songs in their rallies. All his songs are about the devastation Republican politics have wrought on communities. It's also wild seeing Republicans get shocked when Springsteen endorses the Democratic candidate in every. single. election.
