I'm the same. I need actual downtime and permission to "shut off" in order to recharge. Even sitting on my bed playing my Switch doesn't really relax me. Meanwhile my mum can go out into the garden or cook or whatever and is fine without stopping and she doesn't seem to understand that I recharge different from her and my sister.

Same here. My mom and sister do this thing of stating one errand or task they want to do, but then spend 85% of their day out doing other tasks before and after that one thing.

I tend to like doing 1-3 tasks when I go out. I have a time set as my "must be home by this time" limit, so that I don't inadvertently burn myself out and so I can settle some anxieties.
It can be hard for my mom and sister to understand that I set a time limit, because I need the same amount or more time alone to recharge.
