Pretty decent, other than the massive headache. Got hair done and pedicure from spa. Hair was meh, but pedicure was nice, really needed the foot massage. We've ordered Thai food for dessert. Had to take medicine due to headache and allergies, so really sleepy. Watching some Grey's anatomy right now, waiting for dinner.

I've had lots of Thai savory dishes but I've never had Thai desserts, what are they like?

Not actually Thai desserts. The local place has random desserts as well as the regular Thai food. Probably frozen desserts, but still tasty.

I went to a new book club, having decamped from the old one due to people talking about anything other than the book in question. The first meeting of the new one that I attended was fine, but this time they were talking about football within twenty minutes, so I decamped. I wouldn't mind if they called a spade a spade and advertised them as social clubs - I'd know to avoid them then and save the hours I spend reading the books. I'll give them one more try and then stop going. I'm too exhausted and in too much pain to sit through that sort of chin-wagging.

I had this priboem with book clubs too. Either they are super academic about even casual reads or you get together and nobody actually talks about the books. I don't mind a 'more book club as a vehicle for being social' but I want at least a solid discussion before the random social talk.
