Fascism is characterized by support for a dictatorial leader (check), centralized autocracy (they're working on it), militarism (check), forcible suppression of opposition (check), belief in a natural social hierarchy (check), subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race (check), and strong regimentation of society and the economy (just because they're stupid about it doesn't mean they aren't trying).

So we're not quite there yet. And we're not getting there because it's already falling apart. Calling us fascist already is only going to make more people give up trying to stop it.

The second point is especially important. Nazi Germany had an intelligent leader who knew exactly what his plan was and how to make it work. The US has the complete opposite of that.

You do realize that you don't have to have ALL the symptoms to have the disease, right?

Also, anyone who has studied Nazi Germany knew Hitler did not, by any stretch of the imagination, have a plan or knew how to make it work.
