Generally argued by fans of different ships using very specific definitions and plenty of personal-disgust-as-a-moral-compass.

I've seen similar very specific definitions for RPF. It's like they feel uncomfortable so want to distanced themselves rather than face why they may be uncomfortable. (For the record, I'm not against anything in fandom. Fantasy is fantasy and it's all whatever you like as long as it harms none etc etc etc.)

Yeah, that’s my stance too.

I think this one stays with me because the first time I saw it, in more naïve days, I thought it had the potential for a really interesting discussion about how you define “family” and how you think about incest as a harmful act. But I quickly learned that was not the sort of discourse I was in for.

On the other hands, I see a lot of "this isn't actually incest but their are SIBLING CODED so you're a filthy incest shipper!".
