Gonna admit to something very silly here, but when this secret came up in the 'secrets you don't want to make' thread, I forgot that Timothy Zahn was a guy and I read Zahn as being some Star Wars name, imagined he must be a guy in the books, and couldn't figure out what his connection to Mara was and why it was important.

And that's MY secret-bc-I-am-actually-familiar-with-a-lot-of-his-work-I-just-forgot-his-name.
