Lan Xichen/Jiang Cheng.

I like both characters as individuals very much, I cannot fucking stand that god-awful most obvious pair-the-spares ship that is somehow Xichen's most popular ship when there are two options that actually make sense(which are tragic sure but like that's ever stopped a fandom before), and one of them is tragically underrated because the LA version of NMJ isn't 'hot' by the fandom's standards SOMEHOW.

Can't stand the ship and I block it on site.

+10000 They don't really interact, their personalities don't mesh, and they're invading my Wangxian space ((mostly, I think, so that the Jiang Cheng fans can play out the fantasy of their favorite getting a (subjectively) better husband, cause he's a full sect leader so there nyahhh)(which is the biggest reason I hate them, because obviously if I didn't have to see it, I wouldn't care)).

I don't care for pair-the-spares shipping in general, but this pairing just seems so pointlessly ugh.

Also, LA NMJ was a hottie. I didn't care for the facial hair, to be sure. But I saw the actor in BTS videos and he was such a cute, smiley guy! It's the angry expression that's scary.

People didn't think NMJ was hot??

And yeah, ugh, it's a boring pair-the-spares and it just doesn't work for their personalities at all, even in a crack ship vacuum.

Yeah, I hate it as well for the same reasons. I do like the super rare-pair LXC/NHS for post-canon though but that actually has some potential, especially on the angst front and some basis due to some shared history. Definitely more than "they're the single brothers of the main couple and also never even talked a single time in canon".
