I feel like almost all of my tastes are really common and popular, and that extends to fandoms, too. I'm not a big fan of anything that's not widely popular. All of my fandoms are large, most of them are huge. I do read/listen to/watch/play some stuff that isn't super popular, but the fandoms I get really involved in are always the giant ones.

I hate feeling like such a basic bitch.

I barely even know what this is, but I'm shocked so many fans are upset about the theatrical release of its finale. Even if it's a bummer you can't go, that's a sign that the thing you like is succeeding. Don't you want it to succeed??

Fans have always been entitled, and I'm trying NOT to sound like an old man, but I feel like it's gotten so much worse in the last ~20 years.

B!S: If the spoiler culture in your fandom is that bad, then take the energy you're directing at the showrunners and yell at your fellow community members to be more respectful of each other! Why is that the showrunners' problem to manage?

I think the FIA should have sued Trump - not the United States, Trump personally - for the lost income from having to cancel the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races due to the region being turned into an unauthorized war zone. They had the opportunity to do the funniest thing, and I am disappointed that they did not. Because the only thing that is going to get through that mango-colored bampot's skull is jeopardizing his personal money. Literally nothing else. The questionably legality, the threatened war crimes, the bloviating windbag posturing, he does not give a flying monkey's arse about any of the rest of it. But threaten his money? That might make him think he fucked up.

Hmmm, on the other hand, you'll never run out of fic for your faves or have trouble meeting fandom friends who share your tastes, right? Being in a big, active fandom is really fun. Taste is subjective, if you genuinely like the fandoms you do, there's nothing wrong with it, no matter if they're popular or very obscure.
