My big overarching NOTP of all time? Stucky. Thankfully I have ONE friend who hates it, because when I'm talking to friends who love them I do want to be nice, you know? But it's SUCH a strong no for me. I have never been really active in the MCU fandom as much as the Marvel comics fandom so my Marvel opinions are largely based on when I was reading comics as it is, even though I have seen enough of the MCU.

Fandom specific to fandoms I've been more active in more lately-- for Stranger Things, Stancy. To a lesser degree Ronance, but like... that entirely stems out of, if Robin ever got the full story of how Steve's relationship with Nancy ended, I can't imagine her wanting to get into a relationship with Nancy herself? Ships involving the kids/younger teens mostly range from 'I can't care about this' to 'dear god no'.

Supernatural-- Dean/Benny, Dean/Crowley, Sam/Gabriel... I don't ship Sam and Dean but wincest is somehow NOT a NOTP to me, I don't read it but like... I get why it's popular? If a nod to wincest came up in a non-wincest fic, I would not backbutton over it, whereas if a nod to stucky came up in a non-stucky fic I'd never trust the author again. There's definitely one or two I'm blanking on here, there were SEVERAL I didn't like. At least one or two other Sam ships just gave me the ick.

Not really 'in the fandom' so much as 'this is a show my mom watches a lot so I have spent many hours with it and developed opinions', but for NCIS it's Tony/Ziva. They feel emblematic of the type of TV romance that I hate.

For my smallest fandoms, I feel like revealing my NOTPs gives away a lot and it feels a lot meaner somehow than having NOTPs in a megafandom where someone is gonna ship everything and there WILL be content for things I don't like... some fandoms I've created upwards of 90% of the content so it's A) very revealing to be passionate about a NOTP in one of those, and B) feels like being an ass. Like if I write almost all the fic I don't want to feel like I'm policing what does or doesn't 'belong'?

Interesting stance on Supernatural ships. (Disclaimer: I’ve read my share of fic, but haven’t talked about the show much with other fans.)

If you feel like venting about what you think you dislike in those Dean ships (or Dean as a character?) I’d be interested. Or if there are any alternative Dean ships you do particularly like, that would be interesting to me too.
