I am also around 5'4" and it's quite a big height difference from 4'11!

Genuine question, what kind of bow are you using? Also time per session etc.

I can be just this weak, because I AM, but I have a feeling it's a school of learning variety too.

Why I am asking, because I absolutely believe in 30lb starting point for a compound bow, it's much easier on a draw!
Our archery clubs, if you are not a hunter, love to go for a recurve. And it's a destroyer, you can get starting points as low as 14-15lb.
