Funny, this thought crossed my mind when I was bitterly thinking of Stranger Things' usage of music and how highly praised it is, and I just want to yell "IT'S SO FUCKING LAME AND TACKY AND LAZY AND LI-TER-AL!"

One example is Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". Uuuugh I can go on the dumbest vent about how much I fucking hate the usage of the song and how fucking lazy it was to utilize that song. And that's not even the worst song used in the show.

Let me add: I’m not calling "Running Up That Hill" a bad song. It's a phenomenal song but used terribly in the show.

Don't know the song but yeah, it always irked me when songs were used that way regardless of context. I know some artists just said "fuck it" and let their songs be used in commercials, but at least those are sometimes funny. Poor placement in a story would just annoy me.
