Honestly Erika was kind of a jerk to everyone but Callie, though at least the show called her out on it. And the anti-bi thing cooled me on her a lot. But I will admit I did ship it for a while, and they did have great chemistry.

I think soccer fans, or at least MLS fans, have a habit of assuming that a struggling, underperforming team is wholly and completely the fault of bad coaching. They only give a new coach a season to completely turn a team around. I don't know...I accept the fact that rebuilding years are a thing.

Eh, I think a lot of sports do that, I know Hockey does, or my team LOVES to fire people if they don't make the playoffs. I know the Boston Red Socks just fired half their coaching staff and their manager after starting the season 10-17. People were pissed.

A lot of soccer fans around the world really seem to think that and it’s frustrating. But they most likely get that idea from the club owners who are very rich and think winning is done by one or two people under the direct control of one person and if they aren’t The Very Bestest after one season, it’s clearly the one person’s fault.

I miss the days of team building. It still happens sometimes but the reporting can be easy to miss. But it’s always so magical when you see the results!

LOL I was going to say, growing up in a household of NFL watchers, NFL fans seem to think the same thing. It's always down to the coach.

I teach high school ELA and I can ALWAYS tell from a kid's creative writing if they grew up reading and writing fanfiction. It's not a bad thing, just obvious.

What gives it away?

Teenage Me loved creative writing, but I definitely did not have teachers who knew what fanfic was (this was early 2000s, so chances are, they probably weren't familiar with nerd culture, least my 11th grade English teacher likely didn't), so, I, uh, spent a lot of creative writing essentially writing Sonic the Hedgehog OCs and she never said anything. I mean, I got good grades out of it, so hey.

I am fascinated by the psychology of smut. I want to learn about what drives people towards what types/kinks, what compels taste in literary erotica. I want to unpack it and understand it, even my own smutty kinks and quirks. I'd take a college class on this subject happily.

As a kink/fetish-haver, I'm going to say that actually having the kink/fetish is the easy part, but it doesn't correlate with actually being an active reader of literotica. I'd associate smut-reading with culture and/or opportunity. Namely, I used to read some smut quite often maybe two years ago, but now I'm just way too busy to think about anything other than meeting deadlines, work, etc. Damn, real life gets in the way of me enjoying my sexy times.

There was a common meme or gif from back in LiveJournal days of a shot of Harrison Ford saying "We're all going to die" and ending with a pouty face. It's been probably 20 years now but I still think of that phrase so much. Sometimes I randomly while working on a task start "We're all going to..." and don't say the rest out loud. I don't know if it's a coping mechanism or what.

The Wolves of Willoughby Chase is basically just Jane Eyre with Werewolves. It is an early pre-genre take on the Classic Literature mashed with a Monster type of book. It was just too early to catch the wave.
