Lol, that is so dumb. Like you said, it's fandom. It's literally people just there to have fun, so who cares? As far as I'm concerned, literally anything goes in fandom. Do whatever the hell you want. They're not real people. They don't have real sexualities. I genuinely don't get why some people are so hung up on stuff like that. If there's a fic with a pairing I don't like or whatever, I simply scroll past it. To each their own, live and let live, etc.
