Oh I know, I just meant that saying they're victims in the story happens a lot with characters like that in stuff for kids more than in stuff for adults. Probably because those thinkpieces are mostly by young adults who like those movies and just discovered media critique, and stuff for adults is more likely to be consumed by people who are already adults and understand better that characters aren't real people.
