knowing SW fandom as intimately as I do, I absolutely believe it. they'd rather be pandered to than anything else, so anything that breaks their narrow expections is automatically bad. and they'll spend 40 years telling you so.

The Obi-Wan series is the only post-III SW thing I've watched, and I thought it was very good, but very obviously meant to have been a movie then oops too long. idk what to do with that knowledge but I still liked it, and I'm not even the least bit surprised that SW fandom as a whole is not down with it.

I agree, and I also think this is true of MCU fans at this point as well.
