A little over a year ago, an event was announced for a fandom I shared with a close online friend, and we were both looking forward to watching it together. Ultimately there was some weird drama and the event had to be canceled.

A month later, my friend abruptly left the internet after having mental health issues, and I haven't heard from them since. Last night, the event actually happened after all.

I may never know what happened to them, but if they saw it too, I hope they enjoyed it.
