The only times he "wrestled" with crocodiles was to capture and/or move them. Everything he did was to make the move as safe and stress free as possible. He didn't just wrestle crocodiles for the hell of it. The Irwins have done far more good for wildlife and environmental conservation than the keyboard bitchers.

I do remember the "wrestling" was mostly for move them to another zoo part or a vet check because crocodiles were delicate with anesthesia, so immobilize them is still a safer option.
And if he was in a crocodile zone and it reacted to him, he moved and respected its zone like "that was my fault" rather than "stupid crocodile".
