I sometimes wonder if I have a higher sensitivity to pain because I feel like I'm in pain a lot (migraines, period pain, occasional back pain, chest pain due to hormones etc.) and maybe I'm just oversensitive or actually a lower sensitivity to pain because I see friends and family describe similar levels of pain and they go to the doctor for it when that's just kind of my normal. Especially since I've been in frequent mid level to severe pain since getting my first migraines since I was about 7 and I'm just used to it.

I think that migraines from such a young age affect your perspective. And probably you should go to a doctor for some of those to deal with a pain that can be dealt with.

Yeah I absolutely should, you're right. Unfortunately im from a family that has this "only go to a doctor in extreme circumstances" mentality and I'm trying to get my brain to understand that "none" is the normal amount of pain a person should be in. I'm not even in a country where healthcare is inhumanely expensive so I should have no excuses.

DA
I hope you can come to a point to go get checkups on your pain nonny ♡

I was a very sick child and my family didn't take my medical needs seriously unless it got to a really uningnorable point so I understand the struggle to go seeking for professional help in adulthood. I have relatively good health insurance but don't take advantage of it.

Yeah, I feel you!
Frankly I just can't deal with doctors most of the time. (Our system is free but sucks ha ha ha), also being fat woman doesn't help.
But anyway things like back pain are so common, so it's treatable. Also our bones need attention, because evolution suuucks
