Because I'm getting tons of PMs and stuff about this: stuff featuring actual porn of lolicon/shota/whatever will be linked, or was supposed to be just linked, just like every other secret featuring explicit porn. But sometimes I make mistakes and a secret gets by that should have been just linked. If a secret is posted that should be linked or warned for, notify me in the name the fandom thread and I'll fix it as soon as I can.

Unfortunately, secrets about lolicon/shota will not be banned because some people think it's wrong or gross or whatever. Some people think fic about rape or gore is wrong or gross or whatever. Some people think slash is wrong or gross or whatever. I'm sure everyone agrees that actual child porn is a bad thing. Lolicon/shota is not actual child porn.

Once again, I'm sorry for letting #127 get past my radar yesterday, and will try not to let it happen again.

Yup. It isn't illegal yet, but they're working on it.

What's worrying people is that they're trying to make any kind of "violent" pornography (rape fantasies, fetish, BDSM) illegal as well. Oh, and apparently adults wearing school uniforms in pornography, because it's giving the "illusion" of being underage.

It's completely over the top and silly.

ACK, that IS ridiculous. Does this only apply to things that are categorically porn, or can I expect things that have it in as part of the plot to be off the shelves as well? (Though I doubt they'd be that thorough..)

And banning things like BDSM? Wtf, are fetishes illegal now? >_> That's really worrying...

I'm not sure, but I do know it's caused some worry among graphic novel fans. I remember getting really annoyed by some of the comments on a BBC News post about the future changes, ages ago - people apparently actually agree with it, because obviously the people who like that are "messed up." Bleh.

Also, if a legal adult wants to act as though they're sixteen in a porno, that's fine with me.

You're brave for sticking to your guns here, especially in the face of such... eloquence.

My "Internet Sarcasm Detection Device" is a little bit off at the minute, so I'll just take that at face value and thank you.

I don't know what they're referring to either *wonders if she's being insulted*.

That's pretty fucking ridiculous. Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea. I mean, it doesn't seriously affect me, but yeah, on the internet? It's pretty damned easy to just stumble across all that stuff.

I wonder if it's going to be just if you're saving a lot of it/distributing it or even just looking at it, do you know?

And what about written stuff? If I read a rapefic, am I breaking the law? That's the next step if loli and shouta are out.

Not sure, but there are people responding to it and so far it seems to be sticking to the more extreme side of things - some have already come into effect, you see, I remember it being reported on the news. Seems to be bestiality, necrophilia, extreme violence, and any posed images produced to give that impression. It appears to be for photographic images so far, but there is a definite cartoon image law planned, and a proposed amendment specifically aimed at written pornography (a quick search turned up this (http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/ld200809/ldbills/033/amend/su033-ivb.htm).)

Jeeeeeesus. I really don't understand what the bfd is with this.

To be honest, I can't see it being a big issue unless you physically save tons of it and/or distribute it, but still. :| Jesus, I'm old enough and stupid enough to decide what cartoons and fictional stories I want to look at, for Chrissake.

Tell me about it. Banning this stuff is going to accomplish nothing but the general annoyance of people who enjoy non-con fantasy who never even thought the laws were a possibility.

Hopefully, that particular amendment will get a kick up the backside - I may not like reading pornography, but that doesn't mean it's some horrible beast that ought to be banned. The only thing that makes it worse than slasher films is the existence of sex in it.

Last I heard they weren't going through with that anymore.
