I used to be more particular about kudos but times change.

Yeah, basically the same as everyone else. Though I will also give Kudos to certain rarepairs I really like even if I didn't like the fic.

I'm pretty loose with them. If nothing made me backbutton out of a fic, ESPECIALLY in a small fandom, I'm hitting that button.

I *like* to comment, of course, but if I'm feeling really brain dead I can at least kudos.

Oooh, nice, one related to secret #1.

I give it out if I
1) Made it to the end of a story
2) overall liked the various story elements (characterization, plot, themes, etc).

I don't have to agree with every creative choice the author made, so long as I liked it more than I disliked it.

On many multichapter works, I only give kudos once I make it to the final chapter. I dislike the idea of my name being permanently attached to something that may portray one of my favorites in a bad light. I figure my comments are enough to keep an author going on a WIP.

I'll occasionally make an exception if I find a first chapter especially promising, and I'll sometimes even eagerly tell the author that I broke my own rule about giving kudos in the comments, haha.

I'm a lot picker about recs (fics I recommend to others in separate posts or bookmarks on my profile.). For those, I usually need to agree with nearly all of the characterization, find the plot well-paced, and see minimal spelling/formatting errors. These are the fics that I re-read 5+ times, and hold up as an example for how to portray a particular character well.

If I get to the end of the first chapter - kudos. Basically if I see the button I press the button. (I don't always see the button, I'll backspace pretty easily)

It is my BIL birthday so I am visiting my sister. Tomorrow we are having a little party for him and Sunday at are watching the WWE PPV. Monday, I'll be driving home!

I've got a packed schedule next week, so I'm gonna try to do some meal prep. Probably a big pot of pasta sauce, a spinach or cabbage casserole, and a couple of pounds of roasted potatoes.

Tomorrow I'm running a race (7 miles), and might go target shooting with hubby and friends if I get back in time. If not, then probably trying out a slow cooker recipe (either dakdori tang chicken or barbacoa beef) and watching movies.

Brought to you by the 2-day sale on beignets at my local grocery. I could eat that 6-pack in one sitting. :[ Thinking about wrapping the remaining 4 and stuffing them in the freezer.

Summer Strawberry flavored Talenti Dairy Free Sorbeto. It was really, really good! I don’t know that I’d pay full price for it but Kroger had it on sale recently and I’ll be on the lookout for it again.

Box of half a dozen raspberry filled jelly donuts from Walmart, which is the closest thing we've got to a doughnut place in my small town. This makes me sad, because I appreciate indie doughnut places so very much with their old-fashioned counters and display cases. The donuts were okay. Not awful, but not great. It didn't really satisfy my craving for the real thing.
