Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

It is my BIL birthday so I am visiting my sister. Tomorrow we are having a little party for him and Sunday at are watching the WWE PPV. Monday, I'll be driving home!

Happy birthday to the BIL! Not too far a drive, I hope?

I've got a packed schedule next week, so I'm gonna try to do some meal prep. Probably a big pot of pasta sauce, a spinach or cabbage casserole, and a couple of pounds of roasted potatoes.

Only two and a half hours. I make the trip like once a month. Hope you can get some good meal prep in!

I use half & half instead of the heavy cream.

I like the way the cabbage & onions retain a little bite.

Nothing exiting, thinking about green polish in honor of summer maybe. Honestly in it for the massage mostly. I had to do a lot of extra standing this week, and my feet have been cramping pretty bad.

Tomorrow I'm running a race (7 miles), and might go target shooting with hubby and friends if I get back in time. If not, then probably trying out a slow cooker recipe (either dakdori tang chicken or barbacoa beef) and watching movies.

I've done a half marathon before! But this is the longest I've done in a while. Hoping to do a full marathon next year.

So this is like a quarter marathon? Does it have a special name?

Pretty much, but there's no real special name for it. It's just a local event for fundraising.
