Disagree on older animals as long as they're healthy because a lot of people look specifically to adopt older pets, but agreed on the rest. There's absolutely no point in pouring resources into an animal that's going to have a much harder time getting adopted and is way more likely to be brought back than one that doesn't have any health or behavioral issues.

There already aren't enough homes for healthy, well-adjusted animals that need them, why are you just making it worse?
