I have a platonic relationship I read genfic for. I do this by clicking on the A&B tag. But some people tag their shippy fics with both A&B and A/B.

I don't know how to filter A/B out. I wish I could block the A/B tag!

It's driving me nuts.

If you block A/B tag, does it block A&B too?

No. They're two completely different tags.

Go to the exclude section - relationships - choose A/B. It will get rid of all fics that are tagged A/B.
