Nicholas Cage's Humphrey Bogart impression on Spider Noir is pretty spot on, actually. Yeah, I love this sort of thing. I'd be down for more noir-altverse stuff if it captured the spirit of the genre like this.

haven't watched what this is from, but I do think Nic is more attractive than Humphrey Bogart is. I watched Dead Reckoning thinking to myself "oh it's cool that they gave a lead role to such an ordinary looking guy instead of the typical Hollywood male actor right now" only to realize that's THE Humphrey Bogart that people were creaming themselves over a while back as the peak of masculinity. I'm still not impressed by Bogart's looks, but I think Nic looks quite nice there.

Seems like it’s a bit of a noir trend in TV lately. There was Monsieur Spade with Clive Owen, then Sugar with Colin Farrell, and now this. I thought they were both pretty good.

This show wasn't quite what I expected, but I really enjoyed it and hope we get more. (But the color image is really throwing me here. I really don't understand why they even made the color version an option and had no desire to watch it that way. The black and white style gives it so much more character.)

If Piggy was a man and Kermit a woman, there would be no question that her obsession - and forcing him to ask her to marry him/marry her as part of a "skit" with the ceremony done by a real priest - wouldn't be creepy as fuck.

But because she's a woman, it's all in good humor.

I know she's mellowed out since then but those early years were hard to watch in my Muppets marathon.

I have a secret theory... Dark originally had a much darker (haha) Downer Ending. But then Netflix made the writers change it to the slightly more hopeful, bittersweet ending that we got instead.
