AYRT

The conversation basically went as follows: someone said it was funny how empty the seats were at the opening match for the World Cup, and someone else said that it was to be expected with how FIFA is behaving. My husband agreed and said that, since the the World Cup is happening right here, it would've been nice to go to a match, but because FIFA's in charge, and is price-gouging, we can't afford to go. That's when the Nazi accusation was made, as well as the accusation that we want to give FIFA money, which amounts to funding their behavior. I said that no, we don't want to give FIFA money; that's part of the point. Their position, however, was that wanting to go to a World Cup match at all signals support for FIFA.
