as for your #2 i totally agree, wtf where was her mom?!

Uh, frankly I would've been weirded out and disappointed if her mom had been a main focus at that point in the movie. At that point Tiana is an adult and capable of solving her own problems.

Her mom was part of her backstory. The movie was "The Princess and the Frog" not "Tiana and Her Mom." Watch Goofy Movie if you want a movie about a parent and their child conquering something together. Watch a Princess romance if you want a couple doing it together. Jasmine didn't go to her dad. Mulan didn't call her dad. Etc, etc, etc.

I think the point is more "why wasn't she concerned at all about how her mom would feel if her only daughter turned up missing?", and while I agree with your point, I also agree with OP that it was a bit strange that she didn't seem to care at all that her mom was probably worried sick about her.

About number 3, I felt like she was kind of joking, but that's just me.

I thought Charlotte was going to fall for the British butler guy IRL. Like, she'd realize that he was pretending to be Naveen but then end up liking him anyway. That'd be a hoot.

My first thought on #3 was that Charlotte was just joking, or even that if she was serious, there was no way her ADD would wait around for the kid to grow up; she'd be distracted by the next piece of princely man-meat that crossed her path. On the other hand, I also thought of child grooming. D:

I just keep reminding myself that it was probably an innocent joke and I can only blame myself for having exposure to stories with actual child-grooming. (Like, yeah, Twilight.)

With number 3, I always thought Charlotte was just kidding around. =P

2. I was wondering this myself, but at the same time who knows how often they got together since she was an adult? I mean, Tiana wasn't a frog for too long, was she? If she were a frog for over a week, then perhaps...

3. I thought it was cute, ngl. Don't think they meant anything beyond 'aww, cute kid' :P

2. I don't know. I think it was mostly, "I am going to fix this frog problem and my mom won't have to worry about me being missing." So that thought didn't come up. I think making a note of it since Tiana was an adult and all would have been weird. Like it would have deaged her for me.

3. I honestly thought Charlotte was just being her own goofy self and joking. Although I kind of wanted her to end up with that redheaded guy (or Tiana).

I'm all for the OT3, especially if that is the face Charlotte has the ENTIRE time through.

Heh I felt so lame for feeling bad b/c I thought wow it sucks to be Tiana's mom. First her husband and now her daughter's a frog. She's never going to get grandchildren.

1) Okay, I am behind you on that. They're all just too darn sweet and pretty.

2) Hmmm...I can see where you were going with this, who knows, maybe Lottie told her mom after she found out. Or Tiana probably lives independently from her mom (I'm trying to remember here) and who knows, I'd think it could have taken a while for her mom to notice. Maybe a week.

3) You are aware Lottie said this jokingly, right?

Re: #2 - it does look like she still lived in her childhood bedroom, where I'd imagine her mom would still be living as well, but as many others have pointed out, she's an adult and it probably did cross her mind that her mother would worry but at the same time this didn't need to be a major plot point. Eudora also probably wouldn't have thought anything of Tiana not being around seeing as she doesn't sleep and is always out working...
